Have you tried looking for signs of rodents that might have had a go at the wiring and/or water ingress under the dash and in the boot where most of the modules live ?
 3.6 non LR parts.... Good or bad ?

I found out I have a occasional drop of oil coming from what looks like the LH bank valve cover/inlet thingy.

My understanding is that the heater warms up the entire cooling circuit without the valve but with the valve all the heat is diverted to the interior circuit.

My 3.6 takes a while to get warmed up ...
