Just had an email from the dealer.

5w30 Magnetec professional is indeed fully synthetic they tell me! Embarassed

So it appears the old synthetic technology has become synthetic oil.

Seeing as fully synthetic oils are supposed to give almost zero wear and doesn't break down under heat or long use (Being "synthetic") I think it really should be the obvious choice whether ...

Just had my TD6 serviced at Main Dealer in Ashford, Kent.

They have put 5w 30 Magnetec in the engine at £10.99 / litre!!!! Shocked

I cant be specific on the TDV8 as mine has the 12N and 12S sockets.

However, my friend has fitted a 13 pin plus towbar to his 02 TD6 and it didn't need to be configured for the 13 pin. ...

Sounds like the battery.

If you try and jump a totally dead or fried battery it just wont happen (Had the issue a few times on different cars)

Also if the battery is totally dead it's not good p ...
