I've just replaced the rear brake caliper on my car...

The rubber boot in on the caliper for the slide pins... is this meant to move? If I pull the carrier too far out on the caliper the boot comes ...

Paul - same as mine, the pipe arrived from Duckworths this week and is currently on the table, will probably go onto the car tomorrow evening!

Thanks guys - pretty much confirmed my thoughts.

There is nothing to suggest they aren't the original callipers, so i will take it that they are and it's time they are replaced.

As you can see in the picture, the oval shaped piece on the cat side is cracked, it's also cracked where the stud goes through on the other side, also appears to be no nuts present!
