| A good friend of mine had this happen to his L322 TDV8 when he was on holiday in Italy. Luckily he was covered by an extended warranty. I think his was a 3.6 with a fairly high mileage. |

| I thought that DPFs were not fitted until 2011. I am sure my 2010 L322 3.6 TDV8 did not have a DPF. If so, with a budget of £15,000 the OP need not buy an L322 with a DPF and thus avoid the problem |
