found the crank sensor in the end.

Also i have been looking at the manaual from the wiki for the AJV8,
im trying to find the Crankshaft Position sensor......
does any one know where it is located?

do you know whawt that was almost 3 months ago now......
i think i hit it clockwise when facing it..
the good thing with the £10 ebay spanner kit is that it bends if you do it wrong.....

im already to far in to do a compression test now.

you most certainly can get the rad out with out taking the fan off..
as you said it feels like things will break.
the fan is normal thread not L/H (confused the hell out of me) £10 spanner kit ... |

we had a K&N in our 07 4.2 SC, caused no end of issues, the oil was coming off and hitting the sensor causing running issues,

getting the supercharger off it quite simple, does involce a lot of steps but is quite easy, i didnt even need to put the bonnet in the work position to do it.
