Well today I got round to fitting my side vents but I thought while I was at it I would tidy up the previous installation of the mudflaps/side steps. All went pretty well but the fixings, screws bolts etc are not really reusable and so I have ordered some more, currently mudflaps and lower panel are not refitted.

I have this issue on one side of mine still to fix. On the other side however I pre drilled hole through liner if that makes sense and was able to insert the screw into the arch liner which then stayed flush.

Those Simon are my symptoms in a nutshell. What I read suggested poor mudflap fitting but actually with my head under the wheel arch this afternoon, I did think poor liner fitting full stop. What I will probably do is loosen all the fixing points for the liner and see if it can be persuaded |

I was a little offroad in mine this week with work and just washed it down as was filthy and find that on both sides at the rear of the front wheel arch the liners and fixings have gone awry presumably due to all the mud and stuff being flung at them but also both sides the rear plastic panel below the grills is flapping about at the bottom edge and it looks like fixings at the front are broken.

Ahah found the answer with one of the powerful UK videos. Might be investing in some side steps and integral mudflaps. Better stop after this glass!

Try heating the liner with a hair dryer or hot air gun and reshape them |

Forgot to say, I heated them with heat gun and "moulded" them back in place finished off with some black PVU adhesive to hold them.

I heated a blade of a Stanley knife to carefully trim the liners around the mudflap mounting brackets and then "persuaded" the liners to spring back into position.

Two types of flap available... One triangular and really quite large but stiff... The second alot more subtle and thinner and more flexible off road, the later is thinner type...
