Is it normal for kickdown to be a little erratic? Sometimes I floor the pedal and I get a nice smooth change and hustle forwards, others I get a big delay a bit of hunting and a gear change that feels like a dog box with clutch issues? I've now got the fear that a big bill is on its way ... |

I'm guessing that this is normal then from the lack of responses vs views? |

Aye, sorry for that. Just rather worried as it's getting especially violent at the moment. I have resorted to using command-shift if I need to.

I experienced kickdown taking progressively longer to actually kick down or some "hunting" before I drove out to Switzerland this year (where the low pressure fuel pump died) - so it's not necessarily a gear box issue! My advice is not to ignore it however (which I did for a week) ... |
