Climatic seats - how strong should they be?

Just wondering as whilst my climatic get nice and cool / warm however the air flow is very gentle, even on full blast and especially on the passenger side.

Is there any way of boosting the fan, or could something be blocking the airflow (like the perforated leather being full of bum fluff)?!

Laughing

It was a word that came up in conversation with Bellini when I went over to his a few weeks ago.

We were looking at the perforated leather in my car and trying to figure out whether it was the seat base you could see blocking some of the holes...or whether it was a previous owner's bum fluff.

Whatever it is, I'm pretty sure I should be getting more air flow.

Any forum members with climatic seats near Leatherhead in Surrey? I'd like to feel someone elses air flow (fnarr fnarr...)! Embarassed Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...

Mine don't have much air flow, but definitely have a pronounced effect. Maybe time to run over the seats with a strong vacuum cleaner?

You can feel the cooling / warming effect ok in the drivers seat, but my wife always says she can't feel anything (insert cock gag here). Rolling Eyes

I can see myself heading out to the car with a cocktail stick and my handheld Dyson and seeing if that makes any difference! Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...

Don't do the cocktail stick!

I bet your leather hasn't been properly cleaned in a very long time.

Best bet is a good scrubbing brush and a mild non-agressive cleaner and a cloth. Then vacuum using a soft brush to agitate the remaining dirt. Then condition with something like Gliptone.

Do it all except the conditioning just to make sure the airflow is better. Or just use the brush and a vacuum, but you may find that a few years of ingrained dirt and botty fluff needs a little help.

I use Autoglym All-Purpose Cleaner and will do when I do yours. Si. <This is my name.

Any chance of a small pictorial and write-up when you do it? I'm a bit ham-fisted with these kind of things but I'm good at following instructions. Mine definitely need a clean, but I don't want to leave them worse than they are now.

Also, the 'hose' taking cool (and hot if your heated system works that way) can get twisted or crushed - and there is a known fault in the electronic system that reduces the through flow.

Mine had the later, a different member on here had the former.
