One of their technicians then emailed me about an hour later to say that my car already had a very good custom map on it! Talk about honesty! My options were to take the Bluefin one and if I didn't like it all they could do was return it to factory settings not the custom map that was already on it.

Same experience, but as I had no idea who's map I was running I opted to install and keep the Blufin. Land Rover Addict

So did a decent run today, the fuel consumption was actually a bit worse but the drivability is much better and it certainly has more get up and go.

I guess the fuel thing is to be expected because I couldn't resist "giving it the beans" every now and then despite my best intentions to drive normally.

I'm guessing that you don't get "owt for nowt" so if you use the performance, just like on an unremapped car, it uses more fuel. Energy in/Energy out sort of thing.

So I think I'll be keeping it Very Happy Geoff

Just took my range rout for a spin after having a blufin remap and I must say im quite dissappointed Sad It feels slightly faster but no massive changes that everyone on here has been describing. Replace the air filter perhaps?

have you tried to put your LR map back in. and then reload the bluefin.
you should be getting a very noticable midrange push..40-70
0-60 easy 7sec
if no joy sure superchips will be to the rescue..

may the force be with you Laughing

Just use Torque from a standing start in a straight line. You won't see 7. The 400BHP SC is 7.1 Land Rover Addict

just spoke to the guys they said they are going to sent me a new map he said it could possibly be the airflow sensor? How much is a new airflow sensor.

Craig (Cam-tech) did our range seem sluggish when you drove it?

I think that Demon Tweeks will reflect the Superchips price which has just ended the 20% discount special offer ('til 31st July)?

I'm now a couple of weeks into the remap and apart from the better performance with little / no hesitation at take-off, my fuel consumption has improved by over 4 mpg on the same types of journey (this is mainly mixed urban driving). I haven't done any longer trips at steady motorway speeds as yet.

I ordered my Bluefin device from Demon Tweeks with the free K&N filter, which I have not yet fitted. I hope to fit this on the weekend, but have very little technical ability with such things and so may be thwarted in my attempts!

JE were publishing figures which showed their tuned 3.6 TDV8 just beating the 4.2 SC to 60.
