08MY clock and radio presets resetting

Hi all,

Anyone know why the digital time resets to 00:00 and the radio presets are lost when leaving the FFRR locked up overnight (or even for a few hours) Confused ?

I reckon its something to do with the memory settings, sometimes I find my steering wheel settings keep changing back. I've never had radio stations lost but I have had the clock go hours off once for no good reason.

Like most things in the L322, they seem to happen for a while then it just works normally. There never seems to be a good reason. Discovery 4 HSE

Never had that clock issue, but I've had some with the nav system.
Sometimes, it resets itself, loosing the country (resetting itself to Belgium....go figure.... Laughing Laughing ), last destinations, etc....

It's not another car ''characteristic'', it is CHARACTER...... Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Sounds like possibly a sleep mode problem. The car goes into sleep mode after a period of time to save battery power. Maybe something to do with that. I'd try a hard reset to clear any faults and see if it cures it?

I'm starting to have the same problem.

Funy thing is the analogue clock seem to maintain the time, it's the NAV clock that resets, and the only way I realise that is when the nav calculates my arrival time at 00:40 for a 40 minute journey starting at 09:00!

I thought it might have something to do with using the "spare" key.

Battery problems maybe as we all know that when the battery starts to go EOL the issues that come up can be strange and wonderful??

Try having a trickle charger on the car overnight maybe and see if it helps(if you have one).

Does the time reset before or after the engine is cranked? FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

+1 for battery/power supply. its got to be powered from somewhere on a constant feed to maintain clock and radio presets
not sure if there is a separate fuse for that might be worth looking.
Is it every time you park it up? Mine was a blue one! Smile

mine did this a few times, seems it may have been either a battery issue or something to do with being opened with the spare key, not the usual one i use.

However if you are not doing this then its probably the Battery i should coco. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Lost the radio stations and the digital (Nav) clock reset to 00:00 again today.

The car was started with the "spare" key and taken for a motorway run for some 45 minutes, so I'm not suspecting (but could be wrong) the main battery.

I switched off and locked the car (still with the spare key) whilst I fuelled up, on returning to the car I used my normal key to unlock and start .... boom, radio channels gone.

Whilst its not a major problem as I use the same key all the time, it is a little annoying, and I'm sure it shouldn't do it.

Any ideas?

Its ow i know the missus had been in the car. Resets on mine when we use the spare key.

Try running it with the spare for a while and setting everything to how you like it.
Then womt notice when it swaps to the other keys settings.

Its an idea anyhow....... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
