Torque Converter Clutch dis-engage problems

Hi All,

I'm having intermittent TCC disengage problems, usually when trying to accelerate from cruise speed to join faster moving traffic, and I need some help. I'd like to be able to either pull the fuse on the TCC solenoid or how to disconnect the cable for the solenoid so it doesn't lock up? Anyone have any idea if I can do this?

Also my local indy thinks an oil change in the gearbox will sort it, but I don't know enough about automatics to think that this will help. Since it's not throwing up any fault codes I can only assume it's a mechanical issue?
