I just did the hillbilly conversion, remove horn from top of jack, angle grind a couple of mill off each side, reolace upside down, roll pin fits a treat, quick waft of spray paint to prevent rust, simples Whistle

Has anyone tried this bottle jack/attachment with a FF with the Deployable steps and can confirm it does allow adequate access to lift vehicle ?

I've used the Merc Sprinter bottle jack to lift mine with the steps deployed (and switched to stay out). There isn't much room to move the jack handle up and down between the step and wheel but it does work. Thumbs Up 2012 5.0L S/C

Thanks, does it go at an angle and handle exits at gap between tyre and rear of step or does it just go underneath deployed step?

I got the adaptor (hard plastic) and drilled a hole to fit but the jack also fits inside the jacking points without cutting off the horns. Not sure if the horns would damage the jacking point rubber inserts but it fits ok. 2012 5.0L S/C

Fellow FullFatists in France may be interested to know that a cheap alternative to the Sprinter bottle jack (which costs a fortune to have delivered to France by the UK supplier referred to above, link on page 1) is available at a mere 36.90€ from Norauto (with whom I have absolutely no connection whatsoever apart from as a customer, so I hope I’m not contravening the site commercial posting rules!). This is their own-brand N40 model; it is rated at 4 Tonnes and has a similar max jacking height to the Sprinter, at 565mm.
I have bought one and am very pleased with it – apart from the jack pumping lever which is a fiddly 3-part affair. I have replaced that with my own design, and have also adapted a rubber jacking block (also from Norauto – 2.60€) to fit the jack head and the FF jacking recess. Happy bunny now! It's "bébéchoon", ackcherly, with accents. 'Steve' to my chums.
20 years ownership of Solihull products, ALL GONE NOW, sniff!
Current motor: Suzuki S-Cross 4WD auto, 1.4 petrol. Oh so reliable! 5 years now and no problems. Oh, all right then, a leaking shocker replaced under guarantee.

I'm glad I haven't ordered one after reports I've seen on the disco forum of them failing during use Sad

They are meant only for an emergency tyre change but we all use them a bit more than this,

Hence me choosing a cheap heavy duty 20t model that is barely stretched on use with an ff, disco or other vehicle 😄😄 FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
Mantec Sump Guard, Rigid Load liner, MY10 BT upgrade.

Mine is purely for emergency wheel changing - heaven forbid! - instead of the flimsy scissor jack provided. I use a proper trolley jack and axle stands for anything else …
The bottle jack fits a treat in the deep “removable stowage box” (see pic below), and the jack raising lever fits in the same space as the warning triangle. Perfik.

 It's "bébéchoon", ackcherly, with accents. 'Steve' to my chums.
