New functions added to the IIDTool - vid inside

New features added. With this release coming up, the firmware is now coming very close to being completed.
The IIDTool has now definitively reached a level of functionality allowing direct comparisons to much more expensive units.

And there will be even more cool stuff coming. Razz

This is a D4, but the L322 FW will contain similar functions.

I wish you'd stop posting stuff about how good IID tool is Laughing

.............my pixels are shot in the instrument cluster...

...should be fixed next week............

........which means I will no longer have an excuse not to get an IID Tool !!

It does look a cracking bit of kit.

Looks very slick, well done.

What I am missing and I have no idea whether it is available anywhere, a detailed description of each of the functions that the car has. A lot of the descriptions don't give enough detail to understand what they do and what changes can/should be made to get the right results.

For example the cross valve change that was shown here, which cross valve and what does the change of percentage actually do ??? MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

We are working on a new manual. And most of the items you are seeing in the vid are quite self explanatory in use. The cross link valve bit, for instance, was in the menu 'Control I/O'. What Christian was doing there is simply manually opening the cross link valve as one would do to test its function.

The new manual will be avail. Under Support>Documents on our site as soon as it is finished.

Craig, we hope to have the release avail for betas in the next couple of weeks. We will def let everyone know. Have you been using the IIDTool in the shop? How have your experiences been compared to other systems?

Honestly Steve, its been great apart from being limited to one model age... So i now find myself paying contractors when customers want 02>05 cars converting...

Watched the vid twice now and can't see it, so I'll ask. Will the next release have the ability to clear the gearbox adaptives please?
Thanks
Dom.

Limited to one model age ?

Does it work with the 2002 to 2005 non-facelift cars ?

I thought it did. Maybe I've misunderstood......... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Yes it does work on 02-05 L322s - but it is a separate unit from the 06-09 L322. This is what Craig is referring to as he has a later unit. Next year we are planning on releasing the IIDTool Pro: all models in a single housing plus more... It will be more expensive than the single user IIDTool - though nowhere near any of the other professional systems such as the Autologic, etc.

Dom: yes it should be - I have mailed Christian to make sure it is planned for the next release. Will get back to you.

Edit - received mail from Christian. Yes.
