Quick question guys did the brakes as covered for the first time . I do have a squeak developing and believe its the rear brakes. I copper greased the rear pads on the back only hence the issue I have. Question is I can redo but where is the optimal point on the rear pads to grease around the botton where they sit into the retaining spring ?

Disks look fine. Im using pagid pads. I literally only greased middle part of pad and not the anchor points at the rear which I suspect is causing the squeal.Am I right in thinking the anchor points slso need greasing at rear? Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

Just a quick question to throw out there to people who obviously know what they are talking about, are all FFRR 's after a certain date fitted with Brembo brakes? I have a 61 plate SE but the brake calipers have a grey finish and are marked up as Range Rover and I wondered if they are in fact Brembos in disguise or if Brembos were an option. Agueroooooooooo. 93-20

I think that the calipers on the post 2010 models 4.4tsv8 and 5.0sc are still brembos but just bigger and branded RR. they use completely different pads to the 3.6tdv8 and 4.2sc. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

They are 6 piston or "6 pot" Brembo's on your car, just badged as Range Rover instead of Brembo by Land Rover... To answer your second question, they stopped fitting Brembo's on 09/10MY cars they started fitting them again in 2010... "maybe they ran out of factory stock ![]() |
