Top Gear faux pas, camera car in shot on the way to Milan

Was thinking all through that segment why test a fast car in these races as the FFRR they always use with a relitivly low top speed is always infront of them?

Because the FFRR could got at 130mph for longer than most of the cars they test? Also the fact the races are staged might have something to do with it ...
