rear wiper arm question

Hi All

I have just purchased a genuine replacement rear wiper arm from land rover part LR012046 and i have just come to fit it and it doesn't have any splines in the hole where as the old arm has splines and so does the motor. Can anyone advise if this is correct or i have a faulty part?

Matt

There were no splines on mine when I replaced it. The arm is cast aluminium, and I figured that the splines on the shaft imprinted onto the old arm. I haven't had any problems so far Thumbs Up

I don't think they have splines. I think the taper and the nut create the splines in the wiper arm. That way if anything stops the motor the sacaficial bit is the wiper arm. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]
