I'm not sure to understand all the idea, but what i understand is that with a screwdriver,
- i can remove a screw ?
- or I have to move the screwdriver betwen the upper and lower level of the tailgate to make something release the lock ?

I mean the attachment on the rear of your door lock

If I remember correctly there is also a keyhole on the passenger door - covered by a blanking plate - I think you could prise that off and try to get in that way - chance of both cables being broken is very slim!

If you remember correctly, it could realy be the better solution... I'll pray someone can confirm you're right Smile

Ok, no scredriver... I was simply trying to explain the rear of your door lock turns in the latch assembly through an extension piece shaped much like a screwdriver... These have a habit of falling out...

I think smashing the window is better than bending the door frame to get to the door switch. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

RAC/AA or land Rover assist would be the answer in the UK Gary as they can open the boot (if your in the know) but it may be the window is the only answer in France...

the problem is that with the screwdriver or something like, the door would not remain totally waterproof ?

You'd more likely damage the paintwork, warping the door and/or damaging the door seal, which might end up costing more than smashing the window IMO Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Are you sure Craig? I am sure someone on this very forum (Joker?) prised the cover off the door handle and found that there was a keyhole there - and that it was just covered up?

I may have dreamed it though...

Even though the key fob is not synchronized with the car is there any possibility the fob can be used to drive down the windows by holding down the un-lock button for 5-6 seconds? I don't hold out much hope but it must be worth a try.

I would be surprised if that would work, as it would be a major security flaw if anybody with a random RR fob could do it........ Whistle Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
