Found this guy selling the 30watt 6 CREE led bulbs but he is having a laugh asking £48 a pair with p+p. Only one set on the looks of it.

Also found these 30watt bulbs which look similar but quote 500lumen output for £21-99. No mention of CANBUS error free though. Not sure if the higher wattage LED will require them but they look identical to the out of stock 30watt bulbs.

@Prop (& Stan)...

These lights you fancy are sold by the same person from whom I have bought 4 x 7W Exclamation LED indicator bulbs. Namely Hanzi!

The ad for the below LED indicator bulbs does say:
"Note: for some vehicles like Audi, BMW, etc which have on board computer (OBC), you might need to add load resistors (one resistor to one led bulb) in order to avoid the error message showing up on dashboard or bulb malfunction problem. If you want resistors, please contact us, or you can find them in our ebay shop."

I don't think the ones I've ordered had such a warning and are reportedly defo error free.

So... are we saying 7W & 400 lumen is no great shakes and I could get better for my money as I will cancel them/ order an alternative?

Thanks...
Thumbs Up

If it was my money I would go for the 30watt bulbs, they do say they are CANBUS error free and the CREE LEDs are much brighter than SMD LEDs.

Order amended promptly and hassle free by seller who sent confirmation email. 4 of these 30W 500 lumen indicator bulbs supposedly dispatched to me today.

just had a thought Ryan, re the rear cree bulbs , i hope there's enough space for the bulb as the existing bulb is kinda 'dumpy' and the bulbs you have ordered look quite long...

i've received my cheapo rear smds today but its been raining so i've not had a chance to fit them, maybe tomorrow.. ... - .- -.

E-mailed the selling indicator bulb company in response to your query Stan and they quickly replied to say if they don't fit, no problem, they will change them.

Do yours work?

Stan, I had a feeling the SMD 5050 LEDs would not be brighter than OEM, shame they were not 5630's as I reckon they would have been a little bit brighter than the OEM incandescent bulb.

Lol, sounds like you might just have to look to the sky at night once he has them installed and you will see a flashing orange glow emanating from the north. Rolling with laughter
