The dreaded battery question..which one.????

hi guys
does anyone know what amperage or what battery should fit a 2005 td6...iv'e phoned numerous sellers on fleabay and all seem to have different opinion on the amperage, the battery in the vehicle at present isn't an original, even though i'm the 2nd owner the battery currently in there looks like it has been replaced at some point ,iv'e also rang euro car parts and gsf and both recommend the BOSCH S5 which carries 110amp,,the existing battery in my td6 states its 92 amp,as the weather seem to be be getting colder late evening / early morning i'm starting to see its taking a little longer to get the td6 turned over,so before the battery fails completely i want to replace the battery, would the 110 amp bosch s5 damage the ecu or is that the right one...if there is a wiki link or if this issue has been covered in the past, please accept my apology and direct me to the link pls...
regards steve

Get the BOSCH S5 110amp - loads of people on here have it and, other that it being a tight fit, I've not read of any negative experiences

I love mine - FBH every morning, not a problem Mr. Green

There is no risk of damage to the vehicle ECU's etc. (assuming you follow the disconnection/re-connection procedures)

Battery disconnection procedure can be found here http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/post67804.html#67804

Battery fitting procedure can be found here http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic16561.html 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!

Varta I1 is the battery for a TD6 - I1 is the short code, I understand that they also make them for Bosch
