Rear window trim

Could anyone tell me if the lower black trim on the back window of the early 322's can be removed without taking out the glass?

Yep, warm it up first (hot water or hair drier),am good spray of silicone lube, and it should either slide out, or peel from one end. Have a look at the end of the trim and you can see it in profile....

Quick work of warning... You will possibly have a line in your paintwork where the rubber has sat for years... 70% of those we have removed do Shocked

Just depends if that will bug you or not sir Bow down

Well this post has saved me from putting in a new post about the rubber on the back window. Laughing

Was getting some stuff out of the back when I noticed that the rubber is starting to perish and I thought I would replace it with some new rubber.

Hope its not too hard getting it off/on.
Will give the hot water a go anyway.
Thanks

I ended up having to cut through one end of mine and then peeled the rest off. It has left a line where previously painted up to the trim rather than removing it but at least I found where the rust bubble kept coming from as there was a rusty unpainted spot under the trim about 1 1/2" long, which I have treated with stabilizer but no the dealer can repair properly as agreed and remove the paint line they caused by bodging the original repair (twice) There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t

Just as Craig said. Mine slid out no issues, but left a line in the paint that won't tcut out. Accept, some days your the pigeon, some days your the statue!

Cheers guys. Am I right in thinking the newer models don't have this trim? Just the side ones?
