Change product drop down to Telestart T90 (control units) and open the 2nd one down - english

Failing all this, do a car battery reset, fully charge it and go through procedure again.

Thanks Paul Thumbs Up

On reading the T90/80 PDF (which is what I appear to have) it says pull the 1A ( black fuse) fuse from the heaters fuse holder, anyone know what and where is the fuse they're talking about as it doesn't say that I can see ?

The Webasto Fuel Burning Heater T90 / T91 are used in many different makes / models, so the "fuse" is fitted on many, but is also a generic term for "pulling the power " to the receiver unit , which is something we can do on the FF by pulling the plug out .

The receiver should have a permanent power supply from the battery at all times, so check that with a multi meter as a first port of call as its easy.

If you have a copy of the workshop manual, page 2091 on wards may help with schematics.

If you do not have the workshop manual, I would recommend downloading it by downloading from this site (several dozen forum members have downloaded if from here without issues) its a big file so can take 30 mins to DL.

Good luck

Ok thanks, I just thought maybe this 1A fuse may have been the issue but couldn't see it inline, one thing I am not is electric minded so do I just get a meter and poke it down the plug holes with the 3 wires Embarassed ....to see if I've got a live feed ?

I would like to sort this issue but feel now it may be a visit to the dealer !

J evro...basically yes...Set your multi meter to 20v-dc and touch the black probe to a good chassis point, then touch the red probe on each of the three wires..one of them should show 12v.

You have already said that the heater works via the touchscreen, so that part of the system is working ok (including the 20amp fuse No 59 that protects the whole system) so your now looking at the either the receiver, loom / connection (to the FBH control module) or the fob itself / programming being the issue.

Sorry to not have any specifics, but you'll need to test connections, then look at swapping parts methinks Sad GONE 2010 Facelifted 3.6 TDV8 - Stornoway Grey + 22" Overfinch Olympus

The strangest thing...

At about 3am this morning I noticed it was 15 degrees so as I was up and about I thought I would try the remote pre heat ( manual states it needs to be below 16 degrees to work) so I pressed the on button and low and behold ..... Nothing Censored ....so just in case I pressed the off button and everything sprung into action lights on dash flashing confirming it working / I opened the house window and could hear all the fans etc blowing away happily even seen the screen clearing, so pressed on button and it all shut down?.......now I wasn't going to go out to the vehicle at this time of the morning so just out of curiosity to see if I had pressed the off button and the system was still gearing up from my pressing the on button I pressed the on button and waited .. Nothing ..pressed the off button and away she went again all fans blazing , anyone heard of this before? .... I thought well as long as it works I can live with the reversed buttons Whistle , but today my mind is telling me to try and get this sorted ....any ideas folks?

And I've just bought a new remote fob Big Cry

My 10MY has the T91 telestart unit, i followed this after changing the remote battery, worked a treat:

1. Insert the battery in the battery compartment of the transmitter.
2. Press the OFF button six times for 2 seconds at intervals of approx. 2 seconds.
3. Observe a waiting time of approx. two minutes.

taken from link above. i didnt need to kill the power to the unit to sych it. Cheers

James

Have a read of this PDF from Webasto>>

and / or PM me your mobile number, if you need to discuss.

Paul

Me again!.......it's 10degrees here so thought I would try my FBH this time I set it up on the touchscreen timer and system started up at the requested time but it turned back off after only 2 minutes? The heater unit under the battery in engine compartment on passenger side continued to whirr away for a further 2 minutes but at no time did any warm/hot air come out of the interior vents?,

Any ideas?
