Pre heat

Hi all,

Newbie question.......Trying to get the pre heater working from the remote ,

I see it says

Constant LED on means system working programme

Three LED flashes - programme not working,

Every time I try it flashes 6/7 times but I cannot find an explanation what this means .....any ideas?

Hi j evro
handbook says it has to be a certain temp outside before it kicks in.
hav'nt tried mine yet. waiting for temps to drop a bit more.
I may be wrong but i'm sure someone else will verify.

It could also mean your battery is knackered, the one in the remote fob that is. May be worthwhile getting a new fob battery and doing the remote fob pairing sequence again.

Pairing sequence in case you need it>>

You find the Webasto FBH receiver in the back right compartment it's behind the fuse panel (marked with a black outline on the photo) you can unbolt this by removing the 3 marked hex head screws>

The panel can normally be turned / angled so that you can access its rear without unplugging any panel connectors as the looms are long enough.

You can then see a black box mounted onto the back of this panel. You should find the FBH receiver and power lead here.

Once you have accessed the receiver just pull the power lead and press the buttons within ten-seconds as per the instructions below >

1- Insert Battery into the battery compartment of the remote fob
2- Remove power lead from receiver – Wait 5 seconds at least and re-plug in power lead into receiver
3- After approx 2 seconds, but within 6 seconds, press the OFF button on the key fob for at least 1 second
4- Teaching is now complete.
5- Maximum of 4 transmitters can be coded in this way.

Have fun.

Hmmm!

Renewed the fob batteries , Tried above reset sequence as above several times but still flashing 6-7 times on fob and no start up,

There are 2 connections on back of the unit ....1 is a single wire and one is a 3 wire connector , I only tried the single wire one as per (poor I know as I was holding upside down)...picture as could not undo the 3 wire connector one and was afraid I would snap it off (how do you undo these?)

The single is the antenna...try the triple wired connector..the receiver is permanently powered , so the key doesnt need to be in IIRC.

J evro...you just pull it off (there arn't any clips to push in or undo etc but it is very stiff ). If you remove the receiver from the back plate by removing the 2 black plastic hex nuts, then its easier as you can get a good grip of the plug (obviously not the wires) then simply pull / wiggle it straight out. Just done it just now with the ignition key not in.

Okay... Removed the 3 wire 'plug' / followed sequence as above , renewed fob batteries, .... Censored fob still flashing 8 times green for on and 8 times red when I press off...

I have trawled for hours to try and find something on this but failed so far ...

Trying to get a video up to show fob LEDs but cannot seem to do it on here via normal photo way?
