Superb result............I will attempt mine but can’t tell from your picture exactly where you drilled, did you have to remove anything to get a drill in as I have the battery on the passenger side the air intake in the middle and the wiper mechanism on the driver’s side and don’t seem to have the space your picture shows............

Hi John , well took the decision to remove the air intake box which was more simple than expected ...........this gave plenty of room to get a drill in to drill the holes, ........i did two one either side and out poured the water ...great result. I also took the opportunity to clean in and around the air intake box which is just a bit of OCD kicking in according to the wife but made me happy........I can’t thank you enough for pursuing this issue which has become a most gratifying fix and for me at no cost as i did all the work myself today.

After putting it all back together i took the Rangy for a drive along a route that had plenty of hills, mini roundabouts and bends so within minutes the Rangy was as quiet as could be no water noise at all.

When i drilled the holes each side i also drilled them out to 10mm so water can drain with ease which has worked a treat

Thats not the Wiper housing.. thats the coolant chamber for the flux capacitor. If its splooshing it need to be topped up!

I am having the same problem you had some time ago with the sound of sloshing water behind the dash.

I have read the thread but can't access the photo you posted, do you still have any photos showing where to drill the holes to release the trapped water?

The sound of that water sloshing about is driving me mad!!

Anybody know where to drill the holes? have taken air box out but can't see any obvious chamber that is retaining the water.

I have been going over this thread again trying to find the picture of where to drill the holes to drain the water , but with no luck can anyone point me in the right direction? Also this is my first time so I am not sure if I have done this correctly

Hi all having read all of the above I took the large centre air box out and drilled two holes each side of the vent inlets but no water came out. I must have drilled in the wrong place. I want to do this before I sell her. Please can someone help? Thank you!

I now have the same problem.
I have read through all the thread but I can't work out from the descriptions where the successful people have drilled their holes.
I have had that centre heater air intake box out (with the pollen filter), but am still none the wiser. Rob

I think I have fixed the problem.
In the photo's you can see a 6mm hole I have drilled to the right of the loom earth stud.
No water came out when I drilled it (I have only ever had very mild sloshing so I don't think there has been much water in there), but after driving around there is evidence that water has drained out of that hole.
And no more sloshing since.
