You should consider a separate number plate on the rear screen.

I meant a trailer board, with the lights, yes there are less plod then ever, and you will almost certainly get away with it, but, you know that one day, you will be that guy, sitting on the side of the road, with the white capped leather trousered, Honda riding Gestapo, with his long pad, and just hitting his 10th ticket of the day, and hit his daily target.
It only takes a minute to strap a £25 trailer board on your bike.

The Caravanstore isn't designed for a 4WD application but really to be mounted on the side of a caravan where it slides into a length of sail track (which is how I mounted it on my son's caravan).

I used it because I had it. To mount it, I pop-riveted a length of sail track extrusion to a suitable length of Unistrut channel I had lying about. The pic shows it slid back a bit for illustration purposes.

To mount the Unistrut channel on the roof tray, I had a couple of 75x50x50mm angle brackets which I bolted to the tray with 8mm bolts into threaded steel plates I made up.

The Unistrut is bolted to the brackets with 10mm bolts into Unistrut clamp plates in the channel.

The plates are 20mm x 50mm x 5mm and slide into channels in the roof tray.

The Caravanstore is meant to lay against the wall of the van which supports the horizontal arms of the awning. As mine wasn't mounted this way, I had to weld a couple of tabs onto the Unistrut to act as backstops to the above arms. Hopefully my pics will make it clearer.

And probably the most expensive too. I recon the foot pack for the RRS would fit.
Thanks for your replies. Thumbs Up

Did you go with mondeo or RRS in the end? Thule hook around the doors just isn't a neat enough solution when there are bolt in mounts available.

The thule 753 foot pack and any fixpoint system should be adaptable with some drilling or minor welding, I certainly hope so anyway.

Cheers
