England 2004 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Giverny Green
A bit's fallen off

Whilst doing my annual wheels off poke about underneath yesterday I found this bracket lying on the front underside panel on the offside. I think it's intended to support something about 75mm in diameter. Before I start dismantling can anyone confirm what it is. My suspicion is that it's intended to support a turbo hose. Can't be very important, the car runs fine without it.
Car's a TD6.

Thanks,

That supports the whoopy cam flange foo-foo valve, if you start your car without it the car will self destruct..... Pete

Seriously, I'd check it doesn't prevent a pipe from going too near a moving pulley, belt or the fan... Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Pete

I thought it was a bit of the house guttering. Very Happy

I have had a look at my engine bay and, without stripping it out, I can't see anything obvious. Also had a search through RAVE but again nothing obvious. John

That's one for international rescue David, I'd wait for Craig if he's not too drunk on holiday!

Think I've spotted it:

Looks like 19D624B? Question

The strange thing is, it lists it as PMU000130 "BRACKET, FOR INTERCOOLER HOSE, SUPPORT BRACKET" but a search for the PN reveals listings for "Bracket - Child Seat Mounting". Confused If that is it, then it looks Censored expensive at over £50 + VAT! Shocked Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Cheers for that LFW Thumbs Up Definitely 19D624B.
Thank god for that I thought I might have to replace the whoopy cam flange foo-foo valve support bracket which I understand is only available from selected Main Dealers in Nairobi on Halloween. I've already had an email from such a Main Dealer offering the part and wanting my bank details and the dogs passports.

Out of interest, it does seem to have failed due to vibration as the bracket has fractured across the mounting bolt hole which is surprising as the metal is quite substantial.
Might be worth others having a look as I fear I can't be the only one.

Front underside panel off it is then. Thumbs Up

I'll check the roof guttering while I'm at it just to be sure. Wink
