Will it totally unlock the car if the stupid anti hijack system is working? Only one press of my open button only opens the drivers door.... I have to press it twice to open the whole car Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

All doors and windows shut, start with all unlocked.

Sync the remote

Press unlock and hold, press lock 3-4 times and all doors LOCK, then drivers door unlocks.

not sure about anti hijack, on old remote all opened with one press?

Ill try tomorrow with the starting engine afterwards see if that makes a difference. My battery keeps going dead putting ignition on and off constantly Big Cry so frustrating

That might be the problem... if the voltage is down maybe it's not re-writing the key code in the ECU....

Charge the battery, or add some jump leads and another car Rolling Eyes Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Hmmm maybe, not sure the BCM would send signal to doors to lock unlock if that was the case though, anyway i have ordered a new battery coming tomorrow so that will confirm whether or not the battery is at fault here.

Ps miggit have you done this MOD? i see your in MK so if all else fails if youve done it woudl you mind giving it a go on mine if i came to you

Ohwhatalad.. I'm afraid that I haven't done this mod, so I'm not too sure how much help I would be Sad The only reason I thought that the battery voltage might effect the re coding is the Gap IID tool says to have the engine running if you are writing CCF files as it can cause the battery to go flat, therefore I assumed that the voltage is A vital and B there is a power drain involved.... Full charged my battery today.

Tried again, still not working. Censored

I cleared all faults in BCM and PATS anti theft. and tried gain. - im getting a fault code every time i try in the PATS section on IID

- 13 - KEY 1 TOLERANCE INCREASED RANDOM CODE

surely this is linked somehow to why i can't setup my key?

They say to leave the engine running because a dodgy battery will go flat in minutes with the door open...

Programming the CCF file doesn't use much juice... flat battery halfway through could be fun though...!!!

Be interesting to see if a new battery sorts the OP's problem out... I'm not hopeful, but do hope I'm wrong. Thumbs Up Pete

Got that fault permanently on mine and I've swapped to a flip key, infact I'm on my second one...

Knowing how fickle FF's are it might be the issue, but might not.... Pete

Its so weird that it locks and unlocks the drivers door when i press the sequence in programming, but then will not work afterwards!! could it be a dodgy key chip or something?

Try programming the original remote back in, you don't need to replace the transponder, start the sequence with the new key, then try to programme the old one... Thumbs Up Pete
