Car was fine until today until it started idling at 900rpm...that only stopped after I restarted car then fault appeared..only thing I've done to the car before it appeared was to leave a daft phone charger in the cigar socket for a few hours to see if its led switches off after cars asleep...obviously not related...do you think its worthwhile doing a battery reset? | Haylands Member Since: 04 Mar 2014 Location: East Yorkshire Posts: 8826      | It could be a fault within the thermostat but I doubt it, I really wouldn't worry about it and I doubt it has much to do with the engine revs, mine tends to wander around on these cold days, I recon it's something to do with the different air density as the temp drops but that's just my own theory...
