I have a 19ft bowrider inboard which struggles to plane with a full load I have got hydrofoils on the drive but wondered If trim tabs were any better?

I guess you can hijack your own thread. I've had tabs on a couple of boats & they seem to work very well - for getting on the plane & also for reducing porpoising (or bouncing around in choppy water) I used to boat in the UK, but mine lives in Bordeaux these days - Mastercraft X30
