Only help I can give is that the heater connections are at the sides of the screen under the side trims. It is possible that the screen has been replaced by AutoGlassBreakers and they are not used to complex Range Rover screens and often break them by cutting through the (many) wires behind the rear view mirror or not connecting the heater elements. |

could be the fuse or maybe condensation inside the window shorting the connections or just a RR glitch which means it'll work next time... ... - .- -.

How do the trims come off? Is there a screw under the air bag symbol ? Ian |

I understand the left and right sides are controlled by different units. If only one side works it is usually the unit which has gone. From memory I think it was about £3-400 fix. |

The screen is controlled by the ATC ECU, this sends a signal to turn on a relay - this is lives behind the dash (passenger side) You may be able to access it by removing the black end panel (no promises) But either way, the system is only reliant on three factors, the HEVAC/ATC ECU sending the request (which we should assume it is sending the request) the relay, and the connections to the screen. Do you leave the A/C on all the time? If not the moisture in the air can attack the bonding of the connection to the screen. @CMJ - How you could have been quoted £400 to fix some components that don't exist is beyond me, was that by the dealer?! You need a copy of the Workshop Manual... A link to download can be found on our WiKi here: http://www.fullfatrr.com/wiki/RAVE_downloads Perhaps you could throw a few notes together on what you do so the info can be added to the WiKi for people who have this problem in the future? Dan ![]() |

The AC light should always be on... The AC is designed to be left on All The Time. This removes excess moisture from the air inside teh car - without it the various ECU's will start to suffer from damp on their PCB's as well as all electrical contacts (like the ones to your screen) will start to furr up increasing electrical resistance. ![]() |
