You can check it cold, if you open the bonnet, but it’s supposed to be done warm👍🏻 There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

i'm quoting from the owners manual so dont shot the messenger, the 3.6 is checked cold, the 4.4 must be at working temperature.. ... - .- -.

Greg, if you can't read oil level with cold engine, try opening bonnet; go to service menu ;check oil; exit service menu; press cancel on steering wheel (cruise control) ; go back to service menu and check oil. this can be used to check oil level with worm engine and without having to wait 15~20 min. to do so - taking in to account that not all oil may have drain to the bottom of the sump. |
