The 'bits of loom' is the correctly pinned loom as provided by Adam and saved me the hassle. I haven't removed the voice box from the original install so not yet got a FFRR speaking to itself but that is an interesting challenge |

From my time on the BMW forums in my X5 days I am sure I read that leaving the voice module connected with the newer Bluetooth ULF caused conflict which is why a loop plug was produced to link the mic wires and others in the 26pin plug. I bought one of these from the States so never had the problems you are experiencing. I will take a picture of it in the morning and post it here but I stand by my previous messages that you just need to remove the voice module and link the mic wires. 22MY Defender 110 D250 HSE X Dynamic, Gondwana Stone.

Thanks Ajay - just phoned BMW with that part number (found it on many other sites as well) and guess what - they cant find any reference or cross ref for it. I will take the plan B approach I think and jumper the wires. "On first name terms with my local Dealer......now."

They do appear from time to time in the UK and if you are very lucky and they are "mis-listed" you can buy one for as little as £150 |
