As of Gen 8 pairing works relatively well with iPhones. The phone book seemed to work OK too on the one I tried (Gen 8, 3GS). I'd still spring for a Gen 13 tho, before dropping (only) GBP100 less. And the Gen (and up seem to go for around GBP 200+. |

SES plug and uprated mic have arrived from Bimmernav so will be fitting this all at the weekend. |

Spliced the new loom into the existing wires at the SES plug and I now have a very clear working original car kit. It is very clear now with the new uprated Mic. Thanks for the help all. "On first name terms with my local Dealer......now."

Think I'm down to the last little niggle bit - everything works so far (voice dial, all the steering wheel buttons etc) except.....when I hang up the call using the button on the central display it stops the call through the speakers but does not hang up the call on the iphone.
