2012 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Zambezi Silver

4.4TDv8 cap on oil extraction pipe

My car has no cap on the pipe used for extracting the engine oil.Is this correct?The D4's I looked at all had a cap(cover)on the oil pipe.What has your 4.4 TDv8 got?Is it covered? 2012 TDV8 Vogue SE 4.4

Hi, I have the same problem.

Land Rover quote replacement of Scavenge pipe assembly LR043286 at £130.

Does anybody have a spare cap or know how to get one?

2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Baltic Blue

Get a short piece of plastic tubing like in the picture in the last post, then find a suitable size bolt to fit in the end and blank it off. That will do the job.

2019 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

Well I found the actual part number for the cap LR013740 but even this alone is between £50-£60, WTF?
I found that I broke one of the hook parts off my cap by being a little bit too vigorous getting it off. It still locks on securely enough and will be fine but I was just interested in the price of a replacement. After seeing that cost if it does eventually fail I will go with the tubing and bolt solution! _______________________________________________

I think it is 8mm but I could be wrong. I am sure someone will be able to correct me if needed. _______________________________________________
