I have a ski trip booked in a few weeks time when I'm back from working abroad, so we're driving down. A good chance to stretch the TDV8's legs... Discovery 4 HSE

A full write up in time when I've played some more but initial reaction....

Thud

The TDV8 is an awesome engine to start with, with the additional 45BHP and 160nm (up to 315bhp and 800nm) the car pulls like a train being pushed by another train.

Overtaking is SO easy and you quickly reach triple figures.

I just know it will be worth every penny, just like when I had the TD6 done. Thumbs Up Discovery 4 HSE

Guess I'm lucky to be only 45 miles away.

I didn't go for the ITG filter, I can always add that another time.

It does beg the question though, if the engine and car is capable, why don't Land Rover release this power out of the tin? Why limit it SO much.

45bhp of 315bhp equates to nearly 15% inhibited. That seems crazy. Discovery 4 HSE

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover SE Td6 Zermatt Silver

TdV8 (3.6 litre)

Extensively tested on the unrestricted German autobahnen and fitted to JE's own TdV8 Range Rover for 40,000+ miles, The JE upgrade is, quite simply, the best on the market. Read what highly-respected motoring journalist Richard Aucock had to say about it:

How does it drive?
Exhausts and wheels apart, the JE Engineering Range Rover appears discreet and standard- looking, this conversion isn’t one which shouts that it’s there. Rather, it invisibly makes the TDV8 a significantly faster machine in normal use. You don’t need high revs or commitment to make it go fast. All the gains are there in the everyday working range..
If you go for it, the pace is eye-opening - most startling when accelerating from junctions and overtaking when the stately Range Rover just powers relentlessly on. It’s like the Queen hoicking up her stately robes and blitzing the Olympic 100 metres.
