This weekend I gave it a bit of a fluids service, doing the auto box, transfer case, both diffs and the engine oil along with all the filters.
The transmission fluid wasn't burned, but it was dark brown instead of pale orange as it should be, so I think it'll make sense to run it a little while then dump the fluid out and refill again. The transfer case fluid was a bit dark too.
It drives much much better - gear shifts are a lot sweeter and more consistent, and the engine feels really silken and smooth. The A/C wasn't working when I got it, and I thought I had a bit of luck by getting it evacuated and refilled, but it's almost empty again, and I see oil staining at the bottom of the condenser so I'll replace that and the drier shortly. Whilst I'm doing that, I can also drain and refresh the coolant too.
That, plus PAS and brake fluid and it'll have had a full fluids replacement then.
