I used to enjoy washing my cars myself at weekends but I’ve kinda lost interest over the last year. I’m certainly not ocd when it comes to doing it. But I do take care and do the two bucket method n all that malarkey.
I used to allow the wife to get our discovery done at the local £10 car wash but since we’ve had the L405 I’ve put my foot down. Problem is it hasn’t been washed in nearly 3 months. Think I’m getting old n lazy

I would if I had a drive or somewhere off the road to do it, but I live in a small house with no off road parking, so it only gets cleaned when it goes to the dealer..... so about twice a year! I do the interior about once every couple of months. That said, its not a daily driver, used max two or three times a week, so doesn’t get too dirty

I’ve tried snow foam and found it doesn’t really help unless the car was heavily waxed or sealed previously. So its always a pretty long process of getting the jet wash out, setting everything up and by the time I’ve rinsed it off I’ve lost interest lol

Wash mine twice week , snow foam , dried, liquid ceramic coating and tyre dressing. Dry weeks a soft cloth is used everyday between washes to remove dust.  2015 4.4 AB

Had mine ceramiced when I bought it so would not let local boys wash it!  All LR cars from 1984

I have a few works vans which the drivers are expected to clean, but always used to clean my own cars and van myself. Then the local hand wash appeared and I got lazy. Sitting in the car having it done for a tenner seemed appealing. Subsequently, they lost the lease in the local Homebase car park and I've resumed cleaning them myself. Not a bad thing as I did notice lots of swirl marks and minor scratches on my previous L322 plus the alloys suffered from whatever wheel chemical they used and I had to get them re-painted. With my current Santorini Black L405 I'll carry on cleaning it myself. as it's a totally unforgiving colour. The previous owner obviously stood on the treadplates to clean the roof as they were scratched to hell plus it looked like it had been through way too many automatic car washes. My opinion is get some decent products, get a bit of exercise and do it yourself if you want your car to look at it's best.

Any recommendations on some products. Wheel cleaner, snow foam etc? Think I’m going to take a trip to Halfords this afternoon ready for a wash in the morning.
