Brembo Caliper Pins!

Well.....what a pain in the neck to get the retaining pins out of my brembo callipers this afternoon. After copious amount of heat with my little max gas oxy turbo set I finally drifted the last bottom part out.....who thought that carbon steel and alloy would go well together??
Ended up cleaning the passenger side caliper and used copperslip on the pins/retaining pin holes. My next question is....

What’s the best technique to get the caliper bolts out so I can swap the discs out? I have an impact driver so assume I have to put the steering on full lock to get the impact driver in or use a huge breaker bar? What’s the best place to buy the bolts and the impact socket?? The bolt is a star shaped head??

Any ideas guys?

Best regards
Mark

bolts are 21mm 12 point, use some Loctite when reinstalling. if you polish pins and applied some nano coating it will prevent them from sticking. Thumbs Up 2012 TDV8 Black Edition

No, copper grease will react with the aluminium caliper, and corrode

Ceramic grease is what should be used Thumbs Up
