Unfortunately the 14 day rule doesn't seem to apply to France - lots of stories out there of people getting fines through 6 months later Shocked

As Alistair says, no Notice of Intended Prosecution within 14 days in France. Timing varies according to workload etc.

Give it a year, Stan. Very Happy They don't always use a French letter when they are screwing you. Big Cry Laughing John

i think i'll be ok John as the speed camera was an old fashioned square box and not a modern pillar type....but maybe with being an old type they might take longer to develop the film.. Mr. Green

after being caught last year i now budget an extra 40 euros for my holidays Laughing ... - .- -.

Rolling with laughter I keep 90 Euros in cash in the car specifically in case I get a roadside stop.

Not sure if things have moved on, but the fine used to be required in cash and no cards accepted - though they would escort you to a cash machine.

A receipt was always provided - and a form that seemed to take an age to complete

On my September trip I reported being saved outside of calais by Waze.

This trip saved twice by Waze:

Again the first was hiding by a bridge pillar with the speed gun, and linked to the next ‘ payage ‘ where there were half a dozen taking the money.

then another 30 miles on, a couple of bikes and a few hangers on hiding on a slip road. Pulled a Brit van.

On a Sunday in the pouring rain Shocked They should be sleeping off Sunday lunch Exclamation Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

He who dies with the most toys wins...

If you guys venture into Luxembourg (the country) be aware that they have had a major speeding crack down this year. Back in march/april they put up a load of pole speed cameras on the touristy areas (roads along the rivers etc). Some are not easy to spot.
Fortunately they have detailed all their locations on a web site, so a quick google will find it.

This site is worth a look at before a trip:
