Coolant leak 4.4tdv8

Done a search but most coolant leaks referred to on here are for the 3.6.

Is there common areas for coolant leaks on the 4.4tdv8. Praying it’s not a head gasket.

Having a mare lately. Regards

Daz

So does engine coolant go through the oil cooler then?

Cheers Regards

It certainly does.

Mine had a leak on the stupid designed plastic fitting in the top hose that goes to the expansion tank, a known weekpoint.

If it’s your oil cooler gasket you’ll see an oily film in the expansion tank - or worse obvious signs of oil floating on the surface if you remove the cap.

SO No coolant leak found with a pressure test and no signs of a leak...

So internal leak possibly???

Common internal coolant leaks?

I think the stealer is going to check the oil cooler... Regards
