What Alistair said. LR say the max load for the SWB roof rails is about 100kg, but that seems low to me.

Do bear in mind that the roof rails are only made from relatively soft plastic.

I purchased some from powerfull UK.. cheap chineese replicas marked up with likely 200% margin. Slightly disappointed as other are selling them for £79 rather than £249... and the powerfull UK kit includes a template to cut holes for the anchor points. Over all it's cheap chineese and the hardware is terrible. But non the less it's on and functions Thumbs Up

Charles - powerfull do not stock for Panoramic roofs only non. I have been searching everywhere for non OEM ones in black as will only be using them when we go away once / twice a year.

Do you have a link to any others you may have found else think I will have to purchse the OEM ones for £500+.

Thanks

It should appear that the rails are the base for everything.....

Fabricating something which fixes into the existing holes in the roof will require either drilling the finisher or finding some roof finishers which go with the rails.

The main problem will be no matter how well you could fabricate something, you would either have to live with wind noise or remove it and live with holes in the finisher.

I’m sure there are options in terms of brackets out there in the commercial rack market which could be made to fit, but would be noisy at speed.

These guys make an expedition rack.... at a price...
