United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Santorini Black

Im still confused as to what you want to do lol????

The system you have is the same as i had in my e46 m3 and my wifes e53 x5..

The button at the end of the indicator stalk does nothing that you would see on your main radio / navigation big screen...

The button will cycle through the information on the dash under your speedo and rev counter area etc..

What exactly are you trying to reset? Regards

I think if you don’t have anything set to come up, it shows everything, though I appreciate ive not worded that the best..... by default, everything is shown.

I think you maybe use the centre screen to select what you want when cycling through on the instrument cluster, which is where the confusion with the centre screen has come in.

It’s been many years since I did this on my TD6 and I’m 50 on Wednesday so my memory isn’t that good Rolling with laughter 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

So if you have the ignition on and press and hold the end of the stalk and nothing comes up on the centre display, I’d try disconnecting the battery for a few min to see if it resets. I’m stuck after that.

As you say, the fact you are running the later BMW firmware shouldn’t affect it, I had that in mine.

Thank you for your assistance , I have seen these pages in the book I will disconnect the battery and try again with setting steering immediately afterwards , I have seen the display more than a year ago but not now.
That pic of the screen in the centre display headed Remote Control is missing on my menu in the central display , so that doesn't help.
Update soon.

No change , I’m wandering I have inadvertently altered any CCF values. Trouble is they are not available to see on GapIID tool either ...... oh hell!

Might need Navcoder, though I think the IID tool takes a backup the first time you plug it in, so the guys at Gap might be able to help? Might be worth asking them....

Had to refresh the Gap tool last night , now after plugging in it asks for ign on, not only on the mobile interface but on the car as well , so have been advised to check the diagnostic plug.
Will do tonight.

After a word with Gap support who have very helpful it looks like my ign barrel may be the culprit. Apparently a common problem with that age of L322. So maybe draining the battery if it’s faulty.
I found the car dead yesterday with battery at 4v . It was running the night before!
What prompted them to make the decision was I asked them what one of the faults I keep getting , which has been there for 6 months now and never really bothered me . The fault says Auxillary sense incorrect. They replied it’s to do with the ign barrel .
A real barrel of fun ....Not !
ECUS, codes , keys etc.
Will try a clean of some sort , I expect a lot of crap gets in there .

Moved on a bit here, tonight after pulling fuses for the diagnostic and instrument panel reset the Gap tool and saw the led change colour and bong the instrument panel lost the instruction to turn the ign on.
Not worked out the instrument menu yet , but it’s progress!
