Just looked at mine and it's loose and there's horrible black oily paste under it. Removal looks tricky with regards to not
breaking the small coolant connector so maybe I'll leave it alone. The closer I look at the engine the less I want to see. So much 'stuff', so much delicate hard plastic, so many connectors with the wire insulation exposed and going hard........ 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Easy enough to remove the intake pipe and not break the brittle plastic coolant pipe. 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

For all those that replaced the elbow did it fix the RP problem? Just wondering before I go and order a new LR022663!

Looks like the Restricted Performance message has happened on my car before. Not sure a cable tie counts as a long term fix but I’ve done 10K miles since buying the car and this has clearly been in place for a lot longer than that.

Given that the throttle elbow is rigid plastic it's hard to see how a zip tie is doing much to hold it on. It's missing the lock ring which fits in the slots BTW. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

The locking ring is under that zip tie.

Funnily enough I had intake gunk appear beside mine. Cleaned it up a while ago and I've got more again and the DPF full message pop up yesterday (amber one saying see handbook) after I gave it an inspection. It's around the metal clip area. Can't imagine my DPF is actually full as I did 200 motorway miles last Friday and haven't been far since so, a regen would have happened.

On the IID tool, it said DPF mass is 0L and concentration is 23.7. No faults logged on the PCM.

Has PTFE or self amalgamating tape worked for anyone else? I've got plenty of the stuff.

Also checking if there's another part number just for the plastic bit and clip, not the whole hose too? £170 is quite expensive for a bit of plastic and rubber hose (LR022663). 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Gary, it has a double lipped green seal inside that leaks and nobody has managed to find a suitable seal to replace it with. I had to have a complete hose which has solved my leak.

I took mine off tonight and took a photo. Prompted the periodic clean and clean of the MAP sensor anyway (which was all gunked up). This must be what fails - the green seal partially collapses (see yellow areas).

I have gas taped the intake and it now fits firmly.

Will report back in 1,000 miles. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Wow, the green seal on mine sits all the way in the slot with very little protruding.

Mine was very gummed up. Have tried some PTFE tape so will see if it works.

The amount of build up on the throttle body butterfly was significant also.

Yuk!. Checked mine today and it's loose' but not leaking so the seal must be working. No idea why this connector is not rubber with a jubilee clip. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Is there any possibility of fitting an o-ring on the housing? I don't know if there's room for one as I haven't had mine off for quite some time.

To be honest, I don't see how PTFE tape, rubber tape, self amalgamating tape or an o-ring wouldn't work as a seal instead. Take the double lip put and measure the diameter and thickness for an o-ring? All these things cost less than £1 so, worth a try before forking out nearly £200 on a new hose.

A very strange design though. Would have made more sense for it to be like the rest of the intake system being a rigid plastic pipe with a fixed jubilee clip and the sensor within. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8
