I'm out of answers lol - did you put new injectors in out of curiosity?

IDK even if these cars have them but my M^ has just started throwing lean faults and the charcoal canister was blocked - I know the older 4.4 Bmw v8 l322's had these but not sure if the 4.2 does?
That is a massive stab in the dark... Current stable:

You will never get the fuel trims to be zero

The ecu is permanently adjusting fuelling, there is nothing wrong with the trims you have.

If its not giving codes its within healthy parameters, stop chasing your tail.

If it pops up lean codes on lpg tweak the map to suit.

The only thing is with my charcoal canister I had a vacuum when I opened the fuel tank on the m6 but I don't with this for me this is not a problem I don't think.

I just went for a drive to ironically pick up a charcoal canister for my m6 and thought id see my trims for you as not liked for ages as seems ok to drive.

So at idle they ar -5 to 0 most of the time - happy with that.
light load they come down a little but sometimes spike a bit but not too worries about that.

at about 70% load I was getting spikes of 18 - 23 but mainly around 10 - not so happy but it was a very quick spike. Not enough to log a code. 100 % - 0 - which I'm guessing mes it goes open loop as expected as its chucking everying in it can..

Is this similar to yours or different? if similar we probably have the same problem or same non problem at this point Smile Current stable:

i dont want to reach 0 but an acceptable figure, either +5 or -5 seems good.

i did refurb the injectors btw when it was all off.

recently when i put load on it, it spikes to 10ish and stays there till load comes off. Its actually a sport Sad

Heavy load like I mentioned? If you are less than 50% throttle

It does. It's a bit odd since it would suggest that it's not getting enough fuel. You can see the fuel trims being at like 15-20% short trim just before it goes into open loop Its actually a sport Sad

i have two ideas that i need to see if are any good Laughing

1. To block off the vacuum pump hose that goes into the throttle elbow, if i did that, would that cause any problems to the running of the car?

2. Also do something similar and plug the EVAP hose at the back of the throttle housing to see if thats causing the leak? which means in the meantime it'd be loose, could that cause an issue? Its actually a sport Sad

i had enough, tuned the lpg myself to basically run a bit richer. its not ideal but fook it. i think my cats have always been shot because if I cruise at a constant speed on motorway like 70 or something i get misfires. petrol or lpg.

my local exhaust place quoted me 800quid to replace, can also get some sports cats. so very tempted.

on an unrelated note, i finished doing the cars headliner and trims yesterday. but made a mess of the sun visor.

its now in all black. Its actually a sport Sad

a bump from timee ago. it seems my dipstick tube is Censored . realised recently when I smoke tested it, that it leaked oil badly.

so when dicking about with the cats, i noticed on the right hand side they didnt use a LR bolt to connect the pipes up but some Censored make shift thing.

i tried using the OEM part but it seems someones destroyed the threads. so ill have to recut them but its quite tight up there. but that may explain the difference in my banks.

after that am cutting out the cats.
