Went onto the Land Rover website and prices for the Evoque have been released - http://www.landrover.com/gb/en/rr/ Not really to my taste but SWMBO likes it a lot. When we get home later this month I'll sit down and think about ordering one as her X5 looks dated, too big and not really practical. |

£49,500 for the one I've just spec'd up, I think I'd prefer a late TDV8 for that money. 2006 Mercedes CLS

Interesting when you say the X5 is too big. In what way? Our issue is width due to parking spaces (and being able to open the doors) and country lanes. But the Evoque is almost the same width as a FFRR. It's a lot shorter in height and length, but the killer for us was the width (why my wife wouldn't use the FFRR) and that's nearly the same! We never had a problem with the height or length of the FFRR. |

Get a Nissan GTR, that'll keep her busy.

It may be the smallest, if you discount the Defender, but it's still a wide-boy. ![]() A ford Focus is about 10cm thinner, as are most 'family' cars. No doubt LR/RR will at some stage downsize even more and squeeze another model in, as there are markets it's still missing out on. |
