Germany 2019 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Montalcino Red
Should I buy my first Range Rover....

I have wanted a Range Rover since I was 4 years old. Now 44 years later I am now in a position to buy one. I have watched lots of videos and read lots (this forum included).

I am thinking of this one
https://suchen.mobile.de/auto-inserat/land...34582.html

I would be happy if people could check it for me and if they feel it is a good buy. Are there any must have options missing?

The only option I might have wanted was the deployable side steps... I am only 1.65 (5'5) and have children so it would be helpful for us to get into and out of the car.

I have started asking for a deal, they offered to reduce the price by €700. So I have asked what else they can offer if they can't reduce the price.

Many Thanks

That looks very nice Thumbs Up

The steps can be added by the dealer - they are not fitted by the factory - so ask them to fit some as part of the deal.

Looks like it has an electric tow bar - it has the buttons in the boot - that is expensive to fit afterwards.

Nice looking car.

The deployable steps can be retrofitted but are expensive. See if they can do a deal on them.

Less 405’s seem to be fitted with them as you Can set them to automatically go to access mode when you stop. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

That is a stunning looking car, and I love the colour, they're well specked to start with and the steps can be fitted by the dealer as stated above. Enjoy, you'll love it. By the way, the 4.4 is a wolf in sheeps clothing Thumbs Up

Test drive a 5.0L as well before you make a decision.

Looks a great car, I'm on my third RR all with RSE that I have never used so I personally wouldn't worry about that. I've also just swapped my 5.0L supercharged for a diesel (great decision on my part) I still don't understand the fuss about all this, then again I don't understand the fuss about everything people fuss about on this forum. BUT I would get the dealer to sort out some steps.

Finally its up to you, looks like a great car to me. Geoff

Naturally the important part is that you like it. For me the car as configured is a bit too individual; I'm not feeling the colour together with the silver bits on the outside, then have those see through windows to a beige interior with wood inserts and some random black bits. I think come the time to sell it on it could be a challenge.

And yes then there is the Diesel issue, I can see this being banned from many European cities.

I would want to ensure as a must have option for myself (if it isn't standard in your market) is the cooled seats front and back. And again with an eye on resale make certain it is Apple Carplay or Android Auto compatible.

But the important part is that you like it.

Hi Supershuttle
What is the great thing about diesel for you?

I would guess fuel economy. I couldn't think of any other reason.

Here is a better idea

If you can stand the paint scheme, buy this one:

https://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/details...medium=ios

Land Rover Range Rover V8 Supercharged Vogue
First Registration: 11/2016
Mileage: 35.300 km
Fuel Type: Petrol, E10-enabled

Price: €62,900

Unfortunately not an autobiography, but with an engine worthy of a luxury car, and half the price.

It should trade in the high fifties.

Btw, 700 euro off that diesel car is nothing.
