i should think so, any gps antenna should work as long as you have the correct plug..

this is the type i used on an after market sat nav i installed ..

I have to call on the harness...GBP 175ish IIRC
GPS antenna GBP20

Yes, that is your audio amp - you have the mid-line version amp and, in theory, it should work just fine with the plug n play satnav harness. 'In theory' only because you should never say never Very Happy
The plug on the back of the present radio/cd player runs the speaker leads directly to the amp - which is the same thing that the new unit will do via the new harness. The amp sends a signal on the i-bus telling the radio unit that it is there and the radio switches to pre-amp level output. In the base audio system the radio unit does all of the amplification as well.

I'll let you know as soon as I can.

Sorry to disagree Steve - the radio (BM54) functions the same in this config as if connected directly to speakers and does not give a fixed level output.

There are two BM54 configs - constant level (fixed) for the DSP and amplified (Hi level) for this amp or direct speaker. This amp is not connected to the iBus.

I know as I have just put a BMW version in mine to solve my incessant audio problems Twisted Evil

I'll take your word on it, Steve. You are def qualified as a BM54/amp expert. That'll teach me to open my yap too quickly. Laughing

Either way the plug n play harness will (should) work.
BTW, would you happen to know if BM54's w/bad internal amplifier channels will still work with DSP?

Sorry Steve, I do not know - but guess the answer would be no, as even the fixed level goes through the output stage (the fixed level is still amplified).

However, as in this configuartion, only two of the four output stages are used, depending on which chips have failed, you may be able to work around
