I just took a little red rubber gasket out of my NRV -it had perished. washer works fine now, although you do have to keep it on for a couple of seconds until water comes through. not long enough to worry about though.

Right back on this. Where does the rear window water tube run? On the new headlining I have replaced the old with it ran across the headlining (from a 2012 car) but when I took down my headlining a couldn’t see it? The new one looks like it ran down the passenger pillar again couldn’t see it? Current stable:

Which way should the arrow be pointing on the NRV? Does it point towards the motor, or away from it?
Thanks

A Trap

Arrow points in the direction of flow, points to the wiper motor/arm/jet

Thanks. I think this may be blocked, as every time I squirt it, the hose pops off from the force of the water .

A Trap

Mine can be taken apart with two small jewelers screwdrivers. Had to back flush the washer jets as they had calcium build up and kept blocking after cleaning the jets with a needle

Thanks.
Do you have to take the wiper arm off to properly clean the nozzles/jets? My NRV looks like a sealed plastic unit, with no hole running through the middle.....

Ok my non return was damaged trimmed the gasket now it pours water out of the inlet from the motor...

Thinking of doing this any issues?

Would a bead of silicone around it do the same job?

I did mine last week. The motor was caked in mud. I took the whole motor apart you can see where it is clogged from there backwards. As above mine leaks water from where the non-return value sits on the motor body an ever so slight gap. I silicone it a little but have yet to test the water. when I did pre silicone it went in the plastic tray. I used some compressed air, pipe cleaners and a metal skewer from the bbq to clear it all. If it's blocked further back I wonder if there is a kit to pressure flush through the tube from front to back. I am not clever so apologies if this is not possible.
