United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Bournville
New RR now picked Up

I have made a few posts already but decided to go for the 3.6 TDV8 Vogue I saw few weeks ago. I know some of the reservations about the 3.6 but this was just in such good condition and FSH. Had gearbox serviced as part of purchase and was recently serviced so all good to go. Certainly early impressions are very good. No doubt few more questions will follow.

Looks nice. I had a 3.6 TDV8 which was a joy. Only issues in 4 years were a fuel tanker sender unit, low pressure diesel pump and egr valve. All sorted under warranty. Enjoy it

Blank the EGRs as a priority to give the turbos a fighting chance.
eBay kit then mapped out by Bodsy from Telford (mobile so comes to you) if the light comes on the dash.
He also does lots of their stuff like remaps Whistle 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

My 2009 is sitting in the garage, feeling nervous about using it. The battery goes flat real fast if you keep opening the doors. I have blanked the EGR's and found someone who will map them out and map the car too for £150.

Lots of tinkering to do, rear arch liners out and assess corrosion for one.

Your car looks fab. 2009 TDV8 3.6

That looks very nice.

I still like wood in an interior.... but then it seems I’m old 🤣

Thanks guys, for some reason leaving doors open does run battery down, it does on my Jag too. Yes I'm a fan of light interiors and a bit of wood, some say old fashioned but I say class!🤣 Been cleaning leather and treating couple of scuffs with Furniture Clinic product, managed to mix a good match from kit I had for Jaguar, Ivory with bit of yellow seems very close.

Loving the car so far, couple of questions:-
Climate control doesn't seem particularly hot on max or cold on min, is something amiss?
Noticed when selecting reverse, rear camera comes on but doesn't always go off when selecting another gear unless you cancel it?
Also in top left a triangle with exclamation mark appears, presume this is a warning?

Any info on these?

It won’t blow proper hot until the engine is warmed up. If you select a hotter temp on the climate, it won’t blow until it can give it to you, unless you override it of course.

Both my 2003 and 2011 were like that... if that’s what you mean.

My rear camera stays on a few seconds after you have come out of reverse. Or straight away if you select D if I remember right.

No mine seems that way even when up to temp. Taking it in to garage to check it over under warranty. It just seems cooler than it should and it doesn't seem to blow through vents that strongly even on full fan setting. 2009 Range Rover Vogue 3.6TDV8, Bournville, Parchment/Navy
