Can admin comment if Ash has logged into the forum since his radio silence on this thread? Many forums allow users to see the last time logged in but not this one which I believe is admin only........ BMW i3 Electric Car

**UPDATE/NO UPDATE**

A couple of people have asked for an update so here goes......

After going down to see martin I think 2 weeks ago now and him not having time to see me I demanded it either be returned or fixed within a week.

Sean called me back said it would be an extra £2000 to fix as they found the problem (I thought they had found the problem on day one, week 3 and week 5) Basically I have now been told it is the timing chain and something is broken. what I still don't know.

Anyway after being told it would be an extra £2k I was fuming. Not just with the price but with the whole situation.

I know Martin responds by email so fired off a long, day by day breakdown of when I dropped the car off 14th Jan to date

it outlined the poor comms, the lack of work and the escalating costs even though the car had not been touched. I basically said if you cant fix it give it back in the state I gave them it and I will pay 2 hours about as that is all I can see that has been done.

I offered some solutions as I didn't want it to be a demand email even though it was. Basically fix it but not at £3000 and within a week

Return it in the state it was in when I dropped it off basically able to drive out of there.

Martin to his credit did reply and it was not hostile it was actually a nice response. He apologised for the lack of comms, admitted the car had not been worked on and that other jobs that came in took priority over mine (this actually Censored me off, why was mine not a priority when it was first in the door)

He said he can fix it and wants to fix it and will give me a breakdown of the cost. I have not been charged anything as of yet (although invoices suggested it was £720)

He said he will do me a quote (This was Saturday) and let me know the timeframes.

Monday I got a quote for £1650 for the work to be completed and for the parts. I agreed that this was OK (even though it is not) and for him to commence the work. That was Monday 15th Feb.

I got an email saying the part had not come in and should be in for Monday 22nd............

I have not got the car back, I have not paid anything and have no idea if anything has been done this week.

I emailed Martin last night saying is the car fixed and can I pick it up today!!!!

So for all the people wanting a positive update as I do.... there really is no update. It seems to be a continuation of how it was before. I scratch my head as to why you would want to take a car in to your garage store it and not work on it or want to fix it but say you do. Current Cars

Least your safe and well mate that's the important thing. We'll I guess that's some improvement that they have got the parts in. Can't really have a pop at them for staff being in hospital but they should stop taking on the work load till they have cleared all the existing jobs

Oh yes. I replied. Said don’t apologise for xyz. Those things can’t be helped but I do think if things had moved quicker we wouldn’t be another 2 weeks down the line. What else can happen. More snow again 🤣🤣🤣 Current Cars
