Give it another polish David then hit it with some kind of lacquer to protect from UV.

I’m thinking of doing the whole process again just to see if it’ll come up any sharper but there’s a big improvement already from what it started with.

They look good, sometimes it's the inside of the lens suffering from UV damage, have a close look before polishing again... Pete

I’ve had the Range Rover for a run this afternoon and am pleased to report the whine has gone and the car is changing gear beautifully. There’s still a feint grumble from the front diff but it’s not bad so it can wait for a while. The oil I put in it in January is still clean so it can’t be doing much damage to itself and Cheryl can hardly hear it so it’s probably just me being OTT.
